With failure comes success and with success may sometimes come failure, but if we are always too afraid to reach greatness, then we will always get the same results over and over again. And what fun is that? Life isn’t a bowl of cherries, as most of us know, but we have just as much to learn from the pitfalls and triumphs, as we do from the successes and accomplishments. Often times, we learn more from the obstacles and become better individuals for having conquered those challenges. Think of it this way, those who choose to climb Mt. Everest know it won’t be easy, but they do it anyways!
If life was always safe and monotonous, this world would have no excitement and we’d be living in a mundane complacent society. People would never strive for greatness and the blah, underachiever attitude would be the norm. Sound exciting? I didn’t think so…
So do me this favor, pick one tiny goal and start the climb. Pick one thing you want to change, do better, achieve. Stop beating yourself up for what you could have done, could have been, could have changed. There is no better time than now to move ahead in a positive direction. And what an accomplishment to know you have climbed mountains, achieving success and overcoming failure, than to never have attempted the climb at all.
